Georgia's Story
From life saving surgery to the Great North Run
Born with a heart murmur that went undiagnosed until she was 16, her world suddenly changed when her condition rapidly deteriorated and she urgently needed specialist heart surgery. Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital stepped in to provide the life-saving care she needed — expert treatment that gave her a future.
Today, she’s living life to the full. Grateful for the care that saved her life, she even took on the Great North Run to raise funds for LHCH Charity, helping ensure other patients can benefit from the same exceptional treatment, advanced equipment and innovations that supported her recovery. Her journey is a powerful reminder that, together, we are giving more people the chance to live the lives they love.
