To celebrate Heart Month, we teamed up with the Children's Heart Association and Alder Hey Children's Charity to come together and raise awareness of the journey that so many Congenital heart disease patients make from childhood to adulthood.
Congenital heart disease is one of the most common types of birth defect, affecting almost 1 in 100 babies born in the UK. With these figures in mind, the Children's Heart Association wanted to raise awareness of the relationship that LHCH and Alder Hey share and how we care for our patients throughout different stages in their lives.
The day was a huge success thoroughly enjoyed by all (even our canine companions) and it was an absolute delight to witness all of the brilliant fancy dress costumes.
It was brilliant to support our fellow charities and here's to an even bigger and better event next! year!
