Sophie Thomas, a 31-year-old florist from Bury has chosen to support LHCH Charity by taking part in the ‘Chase the Sun’ 5K Challenge at Heaton Park in August to raise money for LHCH Charity after her Dad James was treated here.
Sophie said “I’m supporting LHCH Charity because without your help, my dad (James Thomas) would not be here today. He was with you for nearly three months this year and you supported him through having Covid and a triple bypass with major complications! The nurses and all the staff were fantastic so I wanted to do something to say thank you.“
Sophie admits that never having run before this is a challenge for her and we can’t thank her enough for taking up the gauntlet to raise funds for us.
