In a just a few short months (April to be precise!) our wonderful supporter, Caius Jeffries will be taking on the Manchester Marathon in memory of his partner's mum, Julie - who sadly passed away at the age of 53 after a long and courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis.
Caius decided to support LHCH Charity due to the care Julie received during her time spent at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. He says:
"I chose to support LHCH Charity due to the amazing work that you did for my girlfriends mum back in 2019. Lauren, my partner, was so grateful for the care provided not only to her mum but to herself and the rest of her family too, so it was only right that I chose LHCH as my charity to fundraise for."
However, Caius isn't the first to fundraise in memory of Julie as Lauren herself took on an immense challenge back in 2020. To say her thank you Lauren took on the challenge of walking 500 miles in just 31 days!
Lauren absolutely smashed her challenge, walking day and night and managed to raise a phenomenal £710 for LHCH Charity.
