Brought 3D Imaging to Cardio-Oncology Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital is one of just six specialist Cardio-Oncology centres in the UK, caring for people facing both cancer and heart disease. Thanks to supporters of LHCH Charity, a state-of-the-art 3D ultrasound is helping clinicians see more clearly, plan more precisely and protect hearts during cancer treatment. Provided Faster, Safer Care for CF Patients Young people living with Cystic Fibrosis often need frequent intravenous antibiotics — but repeated treatment can make veins difficult to access. Thanks to charity funding, two specialist ultrasound machines are helping teams quickly locate viable veins and detect complications early, reducing discomfort and ensuring patients receive the vital care they need without delay. Advanced Cardiac Catheterisation with AV Technology Recognised nationally and internationally for excellence in cardiac catheterisation, LHCH is now sharing its expertise even further. With state-of-the-art audio-visual technology funded through charity support, live procedures can be broadcast to medical students and specialist centres around the world — improving skills, saving lives and shaping the future of heart care. Meet our Team Mary Liley Head of Fundraising Mary has been our Head of Fundraising for over 11 years. As well as working hard leading the charity Mary is the resident culture vulture with a love of music, drama and history. Robyn Sefton Fundraising Manager Robyn leads our Corporate and Community Events fundraising as well as making sure that the office runs smoothly - a very big job! Olivia Mahoney Social and Digital Media Officer Olivia looks after all of the social media for both LHCH Charity and the hospital, as well as being responsible for our LHCH Charity website. How We Are Governed Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital acts as the Corporate Trustee of LHCH Charity. Members of the Trust Board, together with the Charitable Funds Committee, act on behalf of the Corporate Trustee to ensure that the Charity is properly governed and managed. The Charitable Funds Committee oversees the strategic direction and administration of the charity. Its responsibilities include managing investments in line with the Trustees Act 2000 and ensuring that all funding decisions align with the charity's objectives, delivering meaningful benefit and added value to patients, their families and hospital staff.
