To honour Emma's close friend Chris who sadly passed away Emma and her mum Yvonne decided to support LHCH Charity by taking part in the Great North Swim on the 13th June 2021
The two ladies set to training and it soon all paid off! Not only did they have a great day taking on their challenge, but they also managed to raise an incredible £681 for LHCH - Charity for which we are incredibly grateful! See more of their day here...
In Emma's words: "Well the pictures sum it up !😊 Thanks again to everyone who wished us well and sent in donations. The water was quite cold but so refreshing once we had a few lengths behind us . Everyone was so friendly & such a nice community, I would recommend the swim to anyone , such a really lovely day & choosing to support such a wonderful cause ❤️ we’ve raised over £600 in memory of the most wonderful, kind hearted, funny, caring, talented and selfless guy you could ever meet @crookallchris ❤️ was thinking about you the whole way round mate & of course your beautiful Carrie @carriewhitton , wonderful parents & anyone who was lucky enough to have Chris as a pal x ❤️ x"
