The Christmas I thought I'd never see

Thousands of people are sharing their Christmas with family and friends this year thanks to the skill of the medical teams here at LHCH. Over 2,000 people would have undergone open heart surgery and many of those would be regarded as “high risk” patients who need the most careful monitoring.

Our Christmas Campaign this year is aiming to raise funds to purchase state of the art monitoring equipment, which was recently trialled by LHCH, and which makes a significant difference to patient recovery.

Supporting our Christmas campaign is Laura, who at only 31 years of age was given life-saving open heart surgery at the hospital in March this year.

Watch Laura's story to find out how LHCH gave her the Christmas she thought she'd never see.
