Not so tough for Poppie and Amy!

After a second heart attack meant that Richard Malkin could no longer participate in the ‘Tough Mudder’ that he had been training for with his daughter – it was down to the younger members of the family to take up the challenge.

Richard’s granddaughter Poppie and his niece Amy, both 10 years old, decided that they would take part in the Lidl’s ‘Tough Mudder Kids Challenge’ to support LHCH Charity – not only to say thank you for the care received by Granddad Richard but also Poppies’ Great Uncle Richard who was being treated at LHCH too.

Poppies Mum said: “As you can see LHCH Charity is really close to our hearts as a family and we want to give back to them just a snippet of what they have given us.”

Having trained really hard to take part the girls did incredibly well with their fundraising achieving an impressive £615 to support LHCH Charity. Thank you so much girls – you did amazingly well and we are so grateful for your hard work!
